Love acts in funny ways,
It gives, but it also takes,

Echoing from the walls,
I hear a sound, as I fall,
A sound that tears me apart,
It’s the sound of a broken heart.

I’ve heard it both ways,
It’s not you, it’s me,
The same old story,
Shatters me into pieces,
As this love ceases, to be,
Echoing in the distance, tearing me apart,
Is the sound of a broken heart.
